New SWIFT SPORT development report #2 - Sport Muffler
It's difficult to develop Sport muffler. Not only improving the performance or power, at the same time the muffler needs to consider about adoptability the regulation value for society like exhaust concentration or exhaust and accretion noise.
Furthermore, we needs to consider about the progress as a whole system from intake to exhaust by tuning of intake and balance when the exhaust manifold is changed to high performance one. Regarding development of engine for world rally competition, we researched and developed from detail to detail like the shape and diameter of intake duct and also diameter and location of the muffler.
To enhance the driving pleasant with new Swift Sport muffler, we pile up chassis dynamometer and test drive, then based on those data and research, we decides the final specification.
